Bissell has recalled multiple models of its Steam Shot Handheld Steam Cleaners after the company received 183 reports of hot water or steam escaping from the product, including 157 reports of minor burn injuries.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall Thursday warning that the steam cleaners "can expel hot water or steam onto users while heating or during use, posing a burn hazard."
About 3.2 million items have been sold in the United States and about 355,000 in Canada.
